Common questions
The microphone is not listening. What should I check?
Select voice answers and start an activity. Allow Microphone and Speech Recognition when iOS asks. In iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security, check both Microphone and Speech Recognition for the app. If the app is not listed, start voice practice once to request access. Device or school restrictions can also prevent permission. The built-in number pad remains available.
The app heard a different number.
Wait for the listening indicator, speak clearly, and pause briefly after your answer. Try a quieter room. For signed numbers, say “positive,” “negative,” or “minus” before the number. If recognition remains unreliable, switch to typed answers and tell us which activity and device you were using.
Does voice practice need the internet?
The app uses Apple's speech recognition. It requests on-device recognition when supported. Otherwise Apple may process speech on its servers, which needs a connection. Typed answers do not use speech recognition.
Where are scores saved?
Math Facts challenge high scores are saved on this device. They are separate from browser-preview scores and do not sync through an app account. Updating the existing app is intended to preserve them. Deleting the app can remove its local data, so please do not uninstall it as a first troubleshooting step.
Can I change the practice numbers and sound?
Open the activity setup to choose the practice options. Use Sound & voice for audio preferences. If you are already practicing, pause first and open Settings.
How can I delete high scores?
Open Math Facts → High scores. Choose the records to reset and confirm the reset. Resetting scores cannot be undone within the app.
Where do I manage purchases or request a refund?
Apple handles App Store purchases. Visit Apple's purchase support to review a purchase or request a refund. Please do not email us your payment details.
